Presenter:      Luise Eichenbaum, LCSW

 

Co-founder of the The Women's Therapy Centre in London (1976) and The Women's Therapy Centre Institute in New York (1981), where she is on the faculty and is a training supervisor. Together with Susie Orbach (Fat is a Feminist Issue), she wrote Understanding Women: a feminist psychoanalytic approach; What Do Women Want: exploding the myth of dependency; and Between Women: love, envy and competition in women's friendships. She has published widely in psychoanalytic and feminist journals and lectures throughout the US and the UK.

 

Program Objectives:

 

Attendees will be able to:

  1. Understand ways in which gender shapes psychological development

  2. Develop new ways of thinking about dynamics of attachment and autonomy in the mother-son relationship

  3. Understand separated-attachments in relationships both inside and outside of  psychotherapy.

Registration Fee:  $100 fee for the program. Continuing Education Credits are available for psychologists who wish to obtain CE credits from the Human Services Center of the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists.

 

CE Credit Fee:           $20 added to registration fee for licensed psychologists only.

(Other licensed professionals may request continuing education information.)

The Human Services Center of Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists maintains responsibility for the program and its content.  This program provides Four (4) Hours of CE Credits for psychologists.
